The frame of the MT6.6 is made from a welded steel construction of S355J2+N (DIN EN 10025), known for its robustness and durability. The base group is made from highly wear-resistant fine-grain steel HB 450 and has been prepared by Radcom to ensure the highest quality. A protective bumper made of round steel (Ø25mm) with protective plates provides additional safety and stability. 

The MT6.6 features four semi-closed shells in a special design. The hub is also made from fine-grain steel HB 450. The shell body and the inner shell plate are completely made of highly wear-resistant fine-grain steel HB 450, while the shell tips are made of HB 500 to provide maximum resilience. Opening and closing stops protect the hydraulic cylinders, and the shell tip area is reinforced inside and outside with hard-facing. 

A shell edge protection made of Pantanax round steel (Ø30mm) ensures additional durability. The bearings of the MT6.6 are thoughtfully designed. The connection piece is equipped with wide tolerance-ground spring steel bushings that are lubricated through the hub. The hydraulic cylinders are fitted with joint bearings on both sides, allowing for easy lubrication through the cylinder eyes. The shell pivot points are equipped with wide closed hard steel bushings that are lubricated through the pins. The pins are made of 42CrMo4V and are surface-hardened (54 – 58 HRC) for maximum strength. 

The lift cylinder of the MT6.6 has a piston diameter of 110 mm and a piston rod diameter of 63 mm with a stroke of 315 mm. The maximum operating pressure is 350 bar. The piston rod is hard-chromed and equipped with a piston rod protection tube as well as end position damping. Additionally, the installation includes a lift reserve for protection in the end positions.
